Discovered Annie's back in December and was immediately happy! She makes Ferrero rocher Gelato which I had not had in years but I favored often during my time doing a culinary internship in Spain! I spoke to Annie herself that night and listened to her tell me how she trained for months in italy before bringing her Gelato shop to walnut creek. It is 100% legitimately authentic Gelato. She imports her ingredients from Italy too! The flavors are all spot on. She has the perfect balance of sweet Gelato that isn't overly sweet like a lot of ice cream these days is. This is 1 of 4 shops I know of that make outstanding Gelato but the others are all further down south in the bay area. I am so happy to have Annie's only 20 minutes away and make it a point to visit just about anytime I'm in the area! I tried her wild berry today too and loved it just as much!! Just be aware, portions are HUGE! A small Gelato is $7 and is definitely difficult to finish. If I liked the same flavors as my husband I could share the one small. I usually love generous portions but I do think if I had one critique that isn't even a bad one, it would be that she could manage to do slightly smaller portions and still maintain happy customers

If you’re looking for a great gelato shop, you’ve found it here!! I got the pistachio and chocolate flavor gelato and it did not disappoint. They have lots of topping options and they even have affogato! Not to mention the best prices for ice cream in Walnut Creek. Highly recommend!

best gelato in walnut creek by far. does have low sugar and sugar free options. tried low sugar pistachio, hazelnut and wild berries sorbet, all great.

Lots of lovely flavors. My mom and I each grabbed a cup after we ate dinner at Dough Zone. Their popcorn and ferrero flavored gelato were really yummy. It's also worth mentioning that all their ingredients are shipped from Italy so if you're looking for authentic gelato with a variety of flavors, this is your place!

Amazing place to get a scoop or two of a creamy cold summer treat! Annie’s has a lot of familiar flavors, that have all been hand made to be as creamy and smooth as possible. The staff are very welcoming and are happy to ensure you are satisfied with your choice for the day. The price is very affordable, 2 scoops for 6 dollars, and no compromises on quality. I highly recommend checking it out when you are in the neighborhood for a not too sweet but very creamy and cool dessert.

The portions here are massive compared to competing gelato shops. The “small” size came with two flavors and was the same size as other store’s “large” for only $7! I got the Ferrero and Coffee flavors. Both were rich and high quality, but most importantly not too sweet! As someone who has worked at an upscale gelato shop, this place is great for the price!
